|Andrew W. Gorman, Ph.D.|
Andrew W. Gorman received a B.A. degree in Biochemistry from New York University in 2009 and a Ph.D. in Microbiology from New York University School of Medicine in 2015. Dr. Gorman’s research focused on studying microbial pathogenesis caused by neglected parasitic diseases. During his graduate studies, Dr. Gorman developed a variety of molecular methods and techniques to investigate the potential for genetic exchange in the microbial eukaryote Trichomonas vaginalis. Dr. Gorman was the recipient of two NIH sponsored fellowships for this work.
